"President Kagame designated Ntibitura Jean Bosco as New Governor of Western Province"

His appointment came shortly after several leaders in Karongi District abnegated from their positions. These included the former District Mayor, Mukase Valentine; the Deputy Mayor in charge of Economic Affairs, Niragire Théophile; and the speaker of the District Council, Dusingize Donatha.

All three abnegated, citing particular reasons for their opinions. In response to the adoptions, Minister of Original Government, Mugenzi Patrice, told RBA that the leaders had submitted letters stating that their adoptions were voluntary and for particular reasons.

Thus, they chose to step down to allow others to give better services to the people.  “Regarding reports that other workers in Karongi District had also abnegated, Minister Mugenzi clarified that he hadn't entered any letters from them. He further added, still, not all workers in Karongi District are new.”

However, it indicates that some workers have failed to fulfill their duties, If the quarter leadership says that it has not been furnishing good services.

As a result, these workers will also be estimated to see how they can more serve the people.  This development highlights ongoing sweats to ameliorate governance and service delivery in the region.
