People with Physical Disabilities Receive Prosthetic and Orthotic Support
KIGALI — Mulindi Japan One Love Project, a charity organization supporting people with disabilities in Rwanda, has launched a nationwide initiative to provide prosthetic and orthotic support to people living with limb disabilities.
The exercise is taking place at the organization’s headquarters located in Kimihurura Sector, Gasabo District, in Kigali City.
The campaign officially began on April 20, 2026, and is expected to run until June 9, 2026.
Beneficiaries from different districts across the country are being medically assessed to determine the type of prosthetic limbs or supportive devices they require before receiving assistance.
Among those who have already benefited Musabyimana Juliette, who, alongside other recipients, expressed gratitude to Mulindi Japan One Love Project for supporting people who could not otherwise afford such services.

The beneficiaries also appealed to the Government of Rwanda to continue supporting the organization’s humanitarian work.
Cansilde Uwingabiye, a disability affairs officer in Kamonyi District, described the initiative as life-changing, noting that many recipients lacked the financial means to purchase prosthetic or orthotic devices on their own.

The founder and director of Mulindi Japan One Love Project, Gatera Rudasingwa Emmanuel, popularly known as “Rasta,” said the initiative is progressing well but highlighted challenges related to limited resources compared to the growing number of people seeking support.
