Empowering Riders: Nyagatare Promotes Safety and Savings
Today, at Nyagatare Stadium, a sensitization campaign was held for the Ejo Heza and Gereyo Amahoro programs, aiming to inform motorcycle taxi riders (abamotari) about the benefits of these government initiatives.
Vice Mayor in Charge of Economic Development Matsiko Gonzague reminded the riders of the importance of maintaining personal hygiene and keeping their vehicles clean.
He also advised them that their profession isn't a lifelong career and encouraged them to start saving early for a better future in their old age.
The District Police Commander emphasized that a good motorcycle taxi rider is one who respects road laws. He also warned riders without necessary documents to comply. He concluded by asking each rider to be their neighbor's eyes in preventing crimes and similar incidents.
