Uganda Three Generals and Minister Injured in Car Accident
Three elderly Ugandan military officers with the rank of General, along with the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, John Mulimba, were injured in a auto accident.
The generals involved in the crash include Lt Gen James Nakibus Lakara, who heads the Air Cargo Transport Agency, Lt Gen( Rtd) Andrew Gutti, former head of the Military Court, and Brig Gen Mwanje Ssekiranda, who leads the Reserve Force.
According to New Vision, the incident passed on Thursday, November 23, 2024, when their vehicle was hit by a truck that had lost control due to boscage failure. The accident took place in the Namunsaala area along the Kampala- Gulu trace.
Uganda Police prophet for the Savannah region, Sam Twineamazima, verified that the officers, including Minister Mulimba, were rushed to Bombo Military Hospital for medical treatment. He stated," The injured were snappily taken to Bombo Military Hospital for treatment. Information has been gathered by probing officers, which will be used in farther examinations."
This accident comes just over a month after another deadly crash passed on the same Kampala- Gulu trace on October 16, 2024. That incident, involving a Fuso truck and a hack, redounded in the deaths of six people, with five others sustaining injuries.
