INEZA Auroli, the project manager of Innovate4DigiJobs, emphasized that their goal is to empower youth with the competencies required to compete effectively in the workforce.

“After observing that many young people graduate but still struggle to find employment, and that even entrepreneurs often lack the capital to create many jobs, we realized that building the capacity of young people would help expand employment opportunities,” she said.

The project is particularly focused on inclusivity, prioritizing women and people with disabilities to ensure that no group is left behind.

Aimable Irihose, head of the Rwandan Association for Persons with Physical Disabilities, applauded the initiative for being inclusive.

“People with disabilities have historically had limited access to education and employment opportunities. Innovate4DigiJobs offers us a path to feel empowered, capable, and competitive in the job market like all Rwandans,” he stated.

Dr. Habimana Alphonse, Director of the Kigali Excellent Tourism and Hospitality Academy (KETHA), also welcomed the project, noting its practical benefits for youth training programs.

“In our efforts to equip students with market-relevant skills, we often face challenges such as a lack of proper tools. This project will strengthen our capacity, enabling us to train more students and better align their skills with labor market needs,” he said.

Innovate4DigiJobs is designed to support projects that will continue to operate over a span of 5 to 10 years, with the ultimate goal of sustainably uplifting Rwandan youth. The program will be implemented in nine districts: Huye, Kayonza, Musanze, Gasabo, Nyagatare, Nyarugenge, Rubavu, Ruhango, and Rusizi.

Interested participants must register by June 27, 2025. Registration is available on the Rwanda ICT Chamber website under Our Work > Projects > Innovate4DigiJobs, where applicants can follow the listed guidelines.
